Bronze without dimensions
What happens when you are completely silent and withdraw into your deepest inner being? Who is talking to you? What does your inner self say? Is it a world that is endlessly vast or oppressively small?
In motion
This bronze box has an image on four sides: two closed eyes on the outside and
a mouth and an ear on the inside. Here I explore these thoughts. Literally, the work can be put down differently each time. Am I correctly looking outward or inward? Am I hearing complaints? Or future dreams?
Am I giving myself words of encouragement to deal with the physical world? Or am I hearing something else entirely?
Meditation
In meditation, silence is a moment of spiritual practice, an attempt to expand the mind so I can make contact with an immeasurable space. What and who I hear in this universe is not clear, so the question remains: Are you talking to me?
